PURA VIDA - The motto in Costa Rica

On April 15, we exceeded the border into Costa Rica, a wonderful country, green, lush vegetation, soft and Huegelzuege As always, some volcanoes. We kept our motto of "Pura Vida" infect unconditionally, and enjoy our trip all the more to the fullest. Unfortunately, everything is very expensive here. So our budget is too fast toward small loan companies, but with water and bread, can we still survive quite a while, and there are so many "bueno para comer" animals here ;-) (see last blog entry)

Our first stop was Montezuma on the Nicoya Peninsula, north-west, which we reached once more by ferry. A picturesque village with beautiful beaches. The next day we went by boat to the Isla de Tortuga, on the way there we crossed some dolphins, the playful and elegant flanking our boat, went into hiding in order to immediately appear on the surface. This acrobatic spectacle captivated us as little children marvel over sparklers. On the island I fell in love with a small wild pig, which lay rotting in the sun to be petted by visitors a little.

The next step, we went to Quepos, whose reputation for tolerance and free gay scene precedes far. We were lucky, we could again monkey colonies, sloths, iguanas and watch tons of Kleingekrabbel, enjoy the beautiful beach and at night a wonderful experience cooling thunderstorms. An impressive day that we left end with two women at a Jass Appenzeller, Appenzell-Kafi (hicks!) and Biberli.

We have been lucky to tour with the inner Appenzeller Andrea Andrea 2 1 and a pineapple plantation, Andrea worked as one for three months added. From there we traveled by bus to La Fortuna, which is probably most touristic village in Costa Rica, which owes its fame to the active Arenal Volcano . We contented ourselves with a walk, and watched the dusk some lava fragments, the glowing tumbled down the slope.

The Lago de Arenal is a reservoir at the foot of the volcano. It provides with a large part of the tailwater area with electricity. With a small boat we crossed the lake, on the other side it went over hills and through deep valleys, similar to the Helvetic Emmental. Now we are in the Highlands, in Monte Verde. There are many tourist attractions, Reserves, Adventure, Zoo's ....

We did a canopy tour, a rope, "float" to the people on a roller through the jungle, a total of 14 cable routes, the longest 750m, the highest 150 m above the ground. The next day was spent without Adrenalischuebe. We visited the park Selvatura the butterfly garden, the reptile house and the Hummingbird Park, a day full of creatures and diverse animal species. We will stay for a few days in Costa Rica, and then slowly but surely travel to Panama. There, too, it will certainly reflect a lot to discover. We are looking forward to the next adventure.
