The national flower of Nicaragua's Flor de Sacuanjoche The last 10 days we spent more or less in the Nicaruanischen city of Granada, or nearby. Granada is a very beautiful, culturally rich colonial city; and one of the oldest cities in Central America. Very near we first visited only as a day trip to the Masaya crater lake, where you can find the cleanest and the cool fresh water in Nicaragua. The scenery was gorgeous, and the nearby horizon, the rim gives a kind of private, small protected micro-cosmos. In Masaya village we visited the market, but these were not really fallen, as more goods were in the garbage and moldy Srassengraben, were being sold as commodities go old.

The old Regierungspalaeste from the colonial period Two days later we went again with our friends Seth, Beard, Thomas and Lisa, who we met in Granada back to the crater lake, and stayed two nights there. We enjoyed the peace, and learned much zokkten Jassen Belgian.

Good food in the hostel Crater's Edge Before the volcanic island Ometepe went (is crowded, volcanoes), we went to Las Isletas ", which are 365 big and small islands, some inhabited, some nature reserve. It was pure nature, birds, monkeys, orchids and a romantic sunset from a boat, this trip was worth it.

There was also a 'Monkey-Iceland', these monkeys will always eat, and can be quite nice aggressive 
On the way back, the sun sets on the horizon 
took the ferry to Ometepe then, 1h40 for about 5 km! We were sure we'd have the boat floating can overtake. But the view of the two volcanoes, which are like a lying eight grown together, could make up for the arduous journey back. We stayed two days on Ometepe, and wanted to climb the non-active volcano Madereas (1211m.uM) However, we angrily the unbearable heat in the morning this adventure, and we decided to forgive in the hammocks. In general, we have since Granada trouble with the heat and high humidity, we have become lazy and lethargic and may look very little.

our favorite animal: The Mueckenfressende Gekko, a graceful Climbing Akkrobat. the way back to the mainland of Ometepe we sailed with two amateur sailors who if at all, only a crash course for amateur sailors visited. It was still funny, but wanted to sail after 2.5 hours but then our Tukker Skip to the motor to the port, the arrival was delayed in addition. And as always when sailing: Jeanette sits in front, look to the horizon, taciturn. Better that way! (Prevention of seasickness)
Now we have already spent two days in San Juan del Sur, just a delightful fishing village in southwest Nicaragua, about half an hour from the border with Costa Rica. Presumably we will enter the next days to Costa Rica, and hope to cool! What
we must laugh again and again, the three animal species that exist here (for explanations of the locals) are:
- Muy peligroso ... (very dangerous) Bueno para comer
- ... (good to eat)
- No Sirven ... (useless)
